Seller Policy

Welcome to Tarshee! We connect sellers of unique Asian and African products, clothing, and goods with buyers in the UK. To keep things smooth for everyone, we ask that our sellers follow these guidelines.

What You Can Sell on Tarshee

  • We love unique items! Be clear about what you’re selling, including where it’s from, what it’s made of, and who made it (if applicable). Be honest about anything computer-generated.
  • Not allowed: things that copy someone else’s idea, certain kinds of services, reselling (except in special cases), gift cards, or dropshipping. No using Tarshee for just ads, sharing referral links, or raising money. Breaking the rules could mean your listing gets removed, or worse, your account gets locked (and you can’t get your fees back).

Running Your Shop

Keeping Buyers Happy

  • Get your items out quickly and follow all UK shipping rules.
  • Answer buyer messages promptly and be nice when solving problems.
  • If you can’t fulfill an order, let the buyer know ASAP and give them a full refund if they paid.

Fees

  • You’ll pay fees for listing things, selling them, advertising, and using other Tarshee features. See our Fees and Payments Policy for details.

Being Part of the Tarshee Community

  • No mean stuff, copying someone else’s work, or misleading buyers in your listings, photos, or messages. Don’t spam or try to get buyers to deal with you outside Tarshee. Also, no promises about health cures, sharing private info, or anything that could put kids at risk. Specific rules apply to listings with banned items. We have tips to improve your listings so more people see them.
  • Keep buyer information safe, following all UK data protection laws. This means following GDPR rules (you’re in charge of that data) and letting buyers see or fix their information if they ask. Only use buyer info for Tarshee stuff, and don’t add them to email lists without permission. Any data leaks or unauthorized sharing are your responsibility.
  • Messages are for talking to buyers about their orders, not for ads, harassment, or getting them to deal with you off Tarshee.
  • Public forums and groups have their own rules, which you can find in our Terms of Use Policy.
  • If you can’t complete an order, tell the buyer right away, cancel the order, and give them a full refund if they paid. Cancellations follow our Cancellation Policy.
  • In the EU and UK, buyers have 14 days to return some items. Special UK laws apply to custom or food items (see link here: [https://www.gov.uk/labelling-and-handling-food-for-international-transport]).

Reviews and Problems

  • Buyers can leave reviews with ratings, photos, and videos within 100 days of getting their items. You can respond to these reviews. Keep reviews clean, on topic, and fair.
  • If a buyer has a problem that you can’t solve, they can open a case with Tarshee. We may step in, which might involve giving the buyer a refund. Cases are for things like items not arriving, arriving late, or not being as described. See our refund policy for details.
  • In some cases, Tarshee’s Refund Policy can help you avoid financial responsibility for problems. In other cases, you might need to give the buyer a full refund. See our refund policy for details.

Keeping Your Account Safe

  • To keep Tarshee a great place to shop and sell, we might limit your shop’s visibility, hold onto your payments, or take other actions if your shop is linked to scams, disputes, or breaking the rules. We might also hide listings that break the rules or are high-risk. We’ll try to let you know if we take any action on your shop.
